SiteWorks 2 is sold as either an unlimited license or monthly/annual subscriptions:
- Unlimited license: The unlimited license is a one-time purchase that allows you to use SiteWorks 2 without any time limit.
- Subscriptions: Subscriptions are monthly or annual payments that give you access to the application and its content as long as your subscription is active. You can switch from one subscription to another or to an unlimited license at any time before the renewal of your current subscription period.
Difference between the subscriptions and the unlimited license
First of all, both the subscriptions and the unlimited license offer users the same features.
- The unlimited offer is like buying a 'box' version of a software , you pay once and can use the purchased version (SiteWorks 2) without any time limit, designed for the operating system version at the date of purchase, until a major version of the application is sold (A new major version will require a new purchase). Minor and maintenance versions, especially for supporting new versions of iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS are included as long as no new major version has replaced the current version. The update schedule is uncertain, a major version typically comes out every 3 to 6 years (indicative duration), with the first commercialization of SiteWorks 2 having taken place on October 15th, 2024. As an example, SiteWorks 1 has been updated for free for more than 12 years, so you might be lucky (or not).
- The subscriptions allow access to the application for an initial lower cost against a monthly or an annual payment and will enable users to switch to another subscription when a new major version of the application is released. When a subscription expires, you will no longer have access to the application and will need to reactivate your subscription to regain access.
